Fiscal Cliff, Two Videos

I can’t say anything that would add to this first video, below.  Not a damned word.  This was taken in Alexandria, Virginia.  Wealthy, well educated town.  Beaucoup federal employees live there.  Oy.

Cleaning up the beautiful 1940s era Remington 1100 Grandpa willed me, buying a Beretta 92A1 and a case each 12 gauge and 9mm, laying in a year’s worth of dried and canned goods and a first rate medical kit is sounding pretty good right now.

It didn’t before I watched this video.  It didn’t.  Really.  I wonder if that winter-proofed log cabin, the one I almost bought in ’84 half way up the pass south of Breckenridge, Colorado is still there?  These people being interviewed, even the ones who recognize the term, have no idea of the size and depth of what’s coming at them.  Contrary to the old adage, ignorance is not bliss.  It’s just ignorance.

Maybe if we keep clicking our collective heels together and keep repeating “There’s no place like home”.  OK, here’s what each and every one of these people SHOULD have been able to respond.  So should we all.

If you’d like a bit more detail, a bit deeper view, read this short post.  Then go looking for that reporter on the street and strut your stuff.
